A coalition of education, civil rights, parent and business groups are weighing in on the federal Every Student Succeeds Act. They released their recommendation, called “Justice for All? The Opportunities and Risks for Educational Equity in New York State Under ESSA.” It includes four principles that focus on high standards, support for under performing schools, and equality for all students. The groups agree that ESSA is an opportunity to help students and boost accountability.
