New York, NY. – The Committee for Hispanic Children and Families (CHCF) today released the following statement congratulating Rossana Rosado on her confirmation to serve as New York State’s 66th Secretary of State.
Secretary Rosado’s accomplishments include being the first woman to serve as Editor and Publisher of the largest Spanish-language newspaper in the country El Diario La Prensa, and she was an award-winning producer. She has also championed important social causes, including prisoner reentry and women’s empowerment.
CHCF is confident that Governor Cuomo’s selection of Rossana Rosado serves the interest of New Yorkers. We are delighted at the appointment and confirmation of Rossana Rosada as she becomes New York state’s highest ranking Latina official.
