CHCF PS/MS 279 afterschool students at the Celebrate Kindness event, during No Name Calling Week
First to eight grade afterschool students participated in a variety of activities with the goal of connecting them to celebrate kindness. Students shared videos, watched movies, and read articles and books connected to bullying, respect and valuing others
They worked together to inspire their classmates friends and families to Celebrate Kindness using visual arts expressions: paintings, videos, skits, advocacy and other art expression venues.
We culminated the week with a display of their collective efforts to create cultures of respect in their school and in their community. Parents, staff and guests participated in their presentation and their creative expression exhibit wall.
