EECNY, The Largest Multilingual Home-Based Childcare Provider Conference in NYC

The Early Child Care Conference of New York will be held on September 14

New York, NY, — On September 14, 2024, the Committee for Hispanic Children & Families (CHCF) will host its annual Early Education Conference of New York (EECNY), at Apella in NYC. This year’s focus is inclusivity and the growing diversity among the children of NYC. Each year the sold-out conference brings together hundreds of child care providers to tackle themes and issues that affect their programs.

“Across the city, more and more providers are seeking out quality trainings, and the conference is growing year by year to meet that demand” said Diana Diaz, CHCF’s Early Care and Education Institute Director “This conference is a vital step towards ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has access to an educational environment where they feel valued and respected.”

There are only 9,763 child care providers in NYC, and with growing costs and fewer providers than before the pandemic, there is a growing child care crisis. EECNY ‘24 is New York’s premier conference for these educators, and the only one with live English and Spanish translation that brings together leading experts, educators, and advocates to explore strategies for tackling challenges head-on.

“The hard-working providers who educate our children are facing challenges on all sides, and we are honored to be able to provide them the tools to meet those challenges” said CHCF President & CEO Ramon Peguero, “The city’s children are our most precious assets and we at CHCF are committed to ensuring that the providers that educate them have all the resources required to excel.”
