Grace Bonilla joins Human Services Council’s Board of Directors
Wednesday, September 14th, 2016 The Human Services Council (HSC) members voted in a new Board of Directors during the Annual Membership Meeting. Among the new slate was Grace Bonilla, President, and CEO of the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families.
As the Voice of the Human Services Community, HSC represent thousands of not-for-profit organizations in New York and advocate for the needs of the human services sector as a whole. Human service providers accomplish more for their clients when they work together to increase funding, master complex new regulations, and orchestrate joint technology. HSC provides the structure to make that happen.
“I am honored to join the board of HSC at such a critical time for the future and sustainability of the nonprofit sector.” said Grace Bonilla. “ I look forward to working alongside my fellow board members and supporting Allison Sesso’s leadership as we collectively work towards highlighting the needs and irreplaceable contribution of our sector.”
HSC new Board of Directors also includes Louisa Chafee, Senior Vice President External Relations and Public Policy, UJA-Federation of New York, Nathaniel Fields,President and CEO, Urban Resource Institute, David Garza, Executive Director, Henry Street Settlement, Katy Gaul-Stigge, President/CEO, Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, Thomas Krever, Executive Director, Hetrick-Martin Institute, Sr. Paulette LoMonaco, Executive Director, Good Shepherd Services, and Ronald Richter, CEO, JCCA.
It is the Board’s responsibility to provide counsel and guidance in the direction and operation of the HSC as well as it is to raise awareness to HSC services to the surrounding communities.
