CHCF participants of the after-school program at PS / MS 279 celebrated the awards ceremony of the culmination of the CHISPA program. Students had the opportunity to present to an audience the skills they developed to special guests, parents and siblings.

This program was developed during 2015-16 school year, as part of five year research project funded by National Council of La Raza. The program engages the expertise, involvement, and collaboration of national Hispanic-serving Organizations, NCLR and ASPIRA Association.

CHISPA, which stands for Children Investigating Science After-school provided the children and families with opportunities to strengthen links between science museums and Hispanics serving CBOs in their Communities and to increase the engagement of children and families in STEM and education
